Much has changed since the release of Kahlee’s first solo record, “Man of Many Hats” in 2008. From his group project “The Seed” to “Blessed” and now “ReBlessed”, Kahlee has continued to sharpen his craft as a businessman and emcee, while focusing his songwriting skills to project his life experiences without filter. “Blessed” is a conceptual piece based on Kahlee’s life. The album touches on everything from love and fatherhood, to questioning religion and confronting family issues. But even with such a personal collection of songs, “Blessed” still manages to bring the hard beats, clever lyricism and fresh scratches you expect when listening to a Kahlee record.

Kahlee is a veteran of the stage known for his dynamic live performances, having toured across the U.S., Mexico and Canada. He has performed with legendary icons such as Snoop Dogg, Cypress Hill and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, as well as some of the most respected acts in independent hip-hop, like Mos Def, Dilated Peoples, Immortal Technique and Murs. His music has been featured on the World Famous Wake Up Show with Sway & Tech and Live From Headqcourterz with DJ Premier, and popular blog sites including 2DopeBoyz, OkayPlayer and DJBooth.

In recent years, Kahlee has expanded his reach into film, television and podcasts. He serves as a Curator for PlatformCollection.com – a Hip-Hop blog and network of podcasts and web shows– where he also co-hosts the podcast/mixshow Proof of Life Radio. Kahlee’s music has been featured on Showtime’s popular documentary series All Access – Mayweather vs. Maidana 2, Showtime’s Ray Donovan, Michael Clarke Duncan’s last movie, The Challenger, and upcoming feature film Days of Wrath, starring Wilmer Valderrama and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

With all this under his belt, Kahlee is not resting on his laurels. His recent project “ReBlessed” is a remix album collaboration with one of independent hip-hop’s most buzzworthy production teams, Digital Martyrs.
With a fiercely independent spirit and work ethic, and a “true school” aesthetic that bleeds through all of his various pursuits, Kahlee is an embodiment of the West Coast hip-hop culture that birthed him – and an ideal ambassador from the block to the business.
